WCCA Nominees for Best Webcomic

I’ll be trying to highlight some of the WCCA categories between now and July 3rd when the voting round ends. The nominees for Outstanding Comic this year are Copper by Kazu Kibuishi; Ctrl-Alt-Del by Tim Buckley, Questionable Content by Jeph Jacques, and Scary Go Round by John Allison.

Comixpedia hasn’t reviewed Copper but we named Kazu Kibuishi to our top 25 People in Webcomics for 2004 list and Kibuishi drew the cover to our July issue last year. For a review, check out Joe Zabel’s review of Copper for the Webcomics Examiner.

Comixpedia reviewed Ctrl-Alt-Del in January of 2004 (a review which provoked considerable feedback from the many, many fans of the webcomic). Another view comes from the Review Gods and at Amazon are reviews of a book printing the first 150 installments of the webcomic. More recently, creator Buckley has been interviewed by CBS News and by Digital Strips.

Comixpedia reviewed Questionable Content just this past January. We also interviewed him last fall.

John Allison of Scary Go Round was one of the first people that Comixpedia interviewed (back in March of 2003). Allison was also one of our Top 25 webcomics folks last year.
