WirePop announces the addition of Fantasy Realms

Wirepop announced today the new webcomic “Fantasy Realms,” by Niko Geyer and Clay Gardner, will be joining the webcomic line-up on WirePop.com, the growing Manga and Manga-styled webcomic subscription magazine.

“Drop dead gorgeous artwork. That is the first thing that comes to mind when you look at the comic ‘Fantasy Realms’ by Niko Geyer and Clay Gardner.” said George Panella, WirePops’ Publisher “Soon after, you realize this artwork is surrounding an original and warm story that is a crafted art in itself. This is the perfect package of form and function and we are very proud to have ‘Fantasy Realms’ on WirePop.com.”

Geyer and Gardner talked about “Fantasy Realms” saying, “Fantasy Realms, on a surface level, is much like other tales of high fantasy most of us have grown up loving. There’s magic and adventure, villains and heroes, good ol’ stuff like that. But in truth, it deals less with magical weapons and dragons than it does with the human condition and the evolution of character. It’s really a story about people, and that’s what makes it interesting. FR also takes its graphical format very seriously. It’s an attempt to be as entertaining for the eye as it is for the brain. Maybe there’s a little something for the heart, too.”

Geyer and Gardner had this to say about joining the Manga subscription magazine WirePop.com “WirePop is fascinating on so many levels. It sets out to do one thing and to do it well. With the manga explosion in the US, it’s the perfect time for an endeavor like this. We think the commitment to quality is what really sets it apart. Artists can truly be proud to be a part of it, and readers know they will be getting their money’s worth. It’s more than just a site. It’s a community.”

“Fantasy Realms” will debut on the WirePop.com website when it is launched later this year, and will be updated weekly. The latest episode of every WirePop webcomic will be free for anyone to read. “This new industry of publishing comics online is affording readers a new way to access quality, professional comics that was never really possible in the print world. The diligent reader can read the WirePop.com webcomics for free if they keep up with the weekly updates,” said Panella “but the paying subscriber will gain access to more content, extras and the ever growing archive of WirePop webcomics.” WirePop.com subscription prices will be $2.95 a month or $24.95 a year. Paying subscribers will have access to all on-going WirePop.com webcomics and archives plus exclusive subscriber only comics. They will also have access to exclusive content and features such as: Galleries, Downloads, Comic Bookmarks, Creator Journals and more.
