WirePop announces the addition of Realms of Ishikaze

WirePop — www.wirepop.com — announced today the new webcomic “Realms of Ishikaze,” by Dan Hess, will be joining the webcomic line-up on WirePop.com, the growing Manga and Manga-styled webcomic subscription magazine.

“We are really glad to have Dan join the WirePop.com crew.” said George Panella, WirePops’ Publisher. “He brings with him great experience, comical plotlines and a unique style all his own. His comic, ‘Realms of Ishikaze,’ will easily attract the large group of gamers that play online role-playing games by giving a light spin on the daily dealings in a virtual world.”

Hess, talked about “Realms of Ishikaze” saying, “Realms of Ishikaze is an action comedy that follows the adventures of three players within an online role-playing game. Denki, an ex-mage who’s opened his own goods shop, is continuously dragged into far-flung missions by the gung-ho warrior and entrepreneur Arashiko and her apprentice Tabitabi, a thief who looks and acts like a little girl. Readers can expect plenty of action, strange characters, and crazy, online shenanigans, as well as my typical humor and sarcasm seen in my previous works.”

Hess had this to say about joining the Manga subscription magazine WirePop.com, “WirePop.com is a huge opportunity for me and my art. A large coalition of artists like this has a better chance of exposure and building a fan base together than a single artist would have on their own. Since it’s a subscription service, as well, I could finally profit directly from my work instead of begging for donations or selling merchandise only a few people will buy. WirePop.com will be a great site, I believe, bringing some of the best up-and-coming English Manga artists to the masses.”

“Realms of Ishikaze” will debut on the WirePop.com website when it is launched later this summer, and will be updated weekly. The latest episode of every WirePop webcomic will be free for anyone to read. “This new industry of publishing comics online is affording readers a new way to access quality, professional comics that was never really possible in the print world. The diligent reader can read the WirePop.com webcomics for free if they keep up with the weekly updates,” said Panella “but the paying subscriber will gain access to more content, extras and the ever growing archive of WirePop webcomics.” WirePop.com subscription prices will be $2.95 a month or $24.95 a year. Paying subscribers will have access to all on-going WirePop.com webcomics and archives plus exclusive subscriber only comics. They will also have access to exclusive content and features such as: Galleries, Downloads, Comic Bookmarks, Creator Journals and more.
