Ann Arbor Book Festival: Webcomic Speakers Needed

The Ann Arbor Book Festival is currently looking for people to speak on the topics of commerce, technology and innovation in comics. They are already in the process of contacting and negotiating with names like Scott McCloud and Will Eisner. If this is something you or somebody you know would be interested in, please contact David Ano.

Hi, my name is David Ano and I am the co-founder of a group called Michigan Web Comics. We will have a booth at the upcoming Ann Arbor Book Festival. The Ann Arbor Book Festival is a five day event kicking off on Thursday, April 22nd.

There will be a number of writers, speakers and activities, including tours of local publishers and printers. There will be an outdoor fair on Saturday which will have a good sized area for comics. At the comic pavilion there will be demonstrators and a Comic Book Legal Defense Fund auction. There will also be a number of booths for comic writers/artists, stores and organizations. The Ann Arbor Book Festival is printing out 150,000 programs for the festival.

Regardless if you are an comic artist/writer or just a fan, this festival promises to be an exciting event. For more information on the festival itself or maybe volunteering, check out the Ann Arbor Book Festival website at http://www.aabookfestival.org.
