Michigan Web Comics is a group of comic artists that gathers once a month to drink coffee, talk and the usual comic art stuff. It is a gathering of minds and artistic conversation. We are also working on a number of projects to achieve shared goals as a group. For the next meeting, April 10th, we are meeting at a new location.
MI Web Comics will meet Saturday, April 10th at 6pm at Expresso Royale, 744 W Grand River Ave, Brighton, MI 48116.

The Lansing Community College (LCC) Comics Coalition (LC4) and Michigan Web Comics presents COMIC AWARENESS WEEK, an event which will kick off on June 27th and continue through July 3rd, FREE COMIC BOOK DAY. The week will feature events on the LCC campus including guest speakers from various branches of the comics industry, such as artists, publishers and non-profit comic organizations.
Comics Awareness Week is a non-profit, grass roots movement to help dispel the myths that currently deter potential readers of comic books, raise awareness of comics as literature and art, explore the potential of comics as an educational tool and establish Sequential Arts as a respectable and desirable career option for future generations. There is a new “group” forming in Michigan for web comic creators. It is called MI Web Comics. We are a group of artists who create comics for presentation on the internet. MI Web Comics gathers once a month to drink coffee, talk and the usual comic art stuff. We also have an online forum at Talk About Comics.
