Michigan Web Comics is a group of comic artists that gathers once a month to drink coffee, talk and the usual comic art stuff. It is a gathering of minds and artistic conversation. We are also working on a number of projects to achieve shared goals as a group. For the next meeting, April 10th, we are meeting at a new location.
MI Web Comics will meet Saturday, April 10th at 6pm at Expresso Royale, 744 W Grand River Ave, Brighton, MI 48116.

However the name “Michigan Web Comics†is often misleading. We have several members who are not artists (writers, publishers, web people) or do not publish on the web, only print. At the next meeting we will talk about how to make the group more friendly to all sorts of people in the comic industry.
MWC has a number of projects we are working on. We are a resource tool to artists. We do community outreach activities to help improve the public perception of comics. We also do fun projects like comic jams. There is also the networking and peer interaction part to our group. Although, do not take my word, come to the next meeting and see for yourself.
