Seven Seas to publish Chugworth Academy, Earthsong and Inverloch

Publisher Seven Seas Entertainment has announced that they will be publishing the webcomics Chugworth Academy Earthsong and Inverloch in print.

Seven Seas appears to be a pretty young publisher aimed at mangaesque titles. They also seem fairly online savvy with both webcomics featured on their site and free psp downloads of some of their titles. Continue Reading

Blank Label Podcast: Kurtz Interview Part 2

I can’t remember if we mentioned this or not, but the second part of BL’s podcast with Scott Kurtz was posted on October 23. This part is a bit more serious and delves into, among other things, the history of webcomics, Kurtz’ Eisner nomination, the attempts to get PvP syndicated in newspapers, and Kurtz’ thoughts on the future.

Penny Arcade and More Fun, Assorted News for a Wednesday Morning

The Penny Arcade versus Jack Thompson story keeps making headlines as Wired has picked it up. From Gamespot comes the news that the Seattle Police department, most likely, will consider Thompson’s complaint a civil matter.

The webcomic More Fun has changed name to Smithson. The webcomic, written by Shaennon Garrity, has also found a new artist, Brian Moore. The original artist was Robert Stevenson, with additional art done by Roger Langridge. Stevenson also hints at weekly updates to his own webcomic Journey Into History. Continue Reading
