Jennifer Miyuki Babcock is the creator of C'est la Vie, a daily comic strip that appears both in the UCLA Daily Bruin and online at Comics Sherpa. Babcock has been posting strips to Comics Sherpa since September 7, 2003. C'est la Vie is currently the highest rated strip at Comics Sherpa by visitors to the site and it is well worth checking out.
Michael McKay-Fleming is a Canadian comic artist who created the witty PG Web comic Alice! In this inventive comic, Alice and her friend Dot wander through the realities and the hilarities of their lives. McKay-Fleming also creates a number of other webcomics that can be found at his site. In this interview, McKay-Fleming talks about how Alice came about, as well as telling us about a planned adult Alice comic! (no foolin'!)
Soap on a Rope is one of the pioneers in the webcomic world, being one of the earlier comics to appear on the web. SOAR comes off not so much as a comic, but a damned good sitcom (and not the kind that get old after being around 4 years). SOAR is good because its focus is on its characters and the bizarre things that happen to them. Combine equal parts Seinfeld, Drew Carey, Soap, Simpsons, Family Guy, and throw in the movie Office Space for good measure, and you might get close to what Soap on a Rope is.

Both webtoonists joined together with Nate Stone and Terri Crosby to form Keenspot Entertainment, one of the leading publishers of webcomics.

George Panella is busy.
Between creating ToykoHigh (on Modern Tales) and other webcomics, Panella somehow managed to launch WirePop, a subscription website dedicated to publishing manga-style webcomics. Panella has actually been quite active in webcomics for some time now with his Razor Studio website, where he offered the RazorNav automation script and started the RazorComics link exchange for webcomics.
We caught up with Panella to talk about WirePop, ToykoHigh and what else he's juggling in 2004.

As the Fates would have it, Joey Manley is a Colonel.
He’s also the Field Marshal behind the great wall of subscription-service, webcomic-related product known as Modern Tales. Having been creepy-crawling around the webcomics community scene since about mid-2000, he first started up with a webcomics reviews/interviews site called talkaboutcomics.com. Only months later, he decided that the world was ready for a subscription-based webcomics portal, even if some seemed wary of the prospect of paying for something that had "always" been free to date.
But already a few years have passed, and Manley’s dream stands tall in the garden of fruition — not only has Modern Tales endured, but it has grown, branching out to include a host (literally) of sister anthology sites, as well as promote key solo artists, too.
