This article explains how an Illinois paper didn’t run a Get Fuzzy joke about being “bigger than Jesus” (which is really a joke about John Lennon saying that all those years ago).
Also it turns out the Washington Post ditching Ted Rall probably was the result of an organized effort to get him rather than any reflection of genuine outrage from WaPo readership. Read the Ombudsman article on it here (free sub to WaPo online required).
I could tell from the mail I got, particularly on the Rall drawing, that at least some of it was from people who had been told about it and were probably part of a campaign, although clearly many people didn’t need anyone to tell them what to do.
