Niego by Jason Sigala wraps up today after about a 15 month run. I’m not sure how many readers Niego had at the end of its run, but I suspect a great number of potential fans never found it. Sigala has a great handle on the art side of things and he was very capable of writing dark, caustic humor.
It’s possible that the concept for the strip (twenty-somethings lives) was just a little too generic for this strip to catch on like gangbusters. Hopefully, Sigala will return to comics with another project in some format.
