I will be floating through the hallways of SXPXO, possibly armed with audio and video recording equipment. Plus you can see a fine list of other folks if you can make it to Bethesda, MD (north of Washington DC). There will also be a webcomics panel hosted by Steve Conley and John Gallagher.

SPX 2003 returns to the Holiday Inn Select in Bethesda, Maryland from September 5th through 7th, 2003.

(9/5) Friday: 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm
(9/6) Saturday: 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
(9/7) Sunday: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

If you did not participate in 2002, whether as a fan or an exhibitor, you missed a lot—don’t be left out in 2003. 2002 was another fabulous year for the show. Attendance on Friday and Saturday was over 2,000 attendees, along with dozens of printers, distributors, retailers, and other industry professionals. There were over 315 people registered as exhibitors and we sold over 150 exhibitor tables. SPX has a unique format of only selling exhibitor space to independent publishers and not to retailers. This provides a very intimate and friendly atmosphere for our creators and fans to mingle. At the same time, there’s a wide array of programming for all to enjoy.

Admission: One day pass is $8.00 ($5.00 for showing your Alternative Press Expo badge) and a weekend pass is $15.00

From reading the schedule for Otakon (which takes place August 8 through 10 in the Baltimore Convention center) there’s a panel titled “Webmanga vs. Webcomics” at 7PM on Friday.

There isn’t a description posted on the Otakon site, so this might be anything from a academic discussion to a flamewar.
