I’ve put back up most of the Altbrand site. The heyday of the Altbrand group was late 1999 to 2002 and we created a lot of material for the site. Since then we’ve all done our various projects with comics but there hasn’t been much activity at the altbrand.com site. But if you missed all of that and want to see some side projects from the likes of Lee Adam Herold, Burke, Case Yorke, and Boxjam (plus current Blank Label Comics member Brad Guigar) go check it out.
For this version of the site I did a Drupal install there (another testbed for me of sorts) and I’ve been posting sketches and comics to it (I’m testing a webcomics module for Drupal there). I’m just practicing mainly so nothing too excited there (although I think I may have a hit with The Adventures of Lamby and Hoppy) although I love posting stuff from my daughters there. It’s great that they get into making comics with me.
I also put back up my personal site, The X-Blog! which generally does not talk about webcomics as Comixpedia sucks up all of my interest in that subject. But if you want to check out what else I’ve been up to xaviarxerexes.com will give you a hint. I’ve still got a lot of work to do on The X-Blog! site – it’s going to be my testbed for refining my Drupal theme-creation skills. Currently, Comixpedia is running on Drupal 4.6 and now that version 4.7 is final I’ll be moving Comixpedia to that. But to cut down on the "changes" I’ve inflicted on Comixpedia members I’m going to wrap into that upgrade as many changes I have planned as I can possibly finish this month.
