First pages for KeenLobotomy Event available!

KeenLobotomy is a Keenspace event where artists pair up and exchange comic scripts. Each artist then produces a short comic based on the other artist’s script.

Started several months ago, the first results of some of the collaborations are now available for viewing on the KeenLobotomy website. Artists whose works are currently on display are Srdjan Achimovich (McDuffies) and John Fortman (Fallen Angels Used Books)

Keenspace Main Site gets New Look

On May 7th, Keenspace’s Main Site re-launched with a funky new site design, complete with new logo, newsbox and searchable guide. A follow-up to Keenspot’s own re-design back in January, the new site design was chosen from several entries in a contest put forth on the Keenspace forums.

It is worth noting that the winning entry by Rodrigo Pin is quite a departure from the original Keenspace look, and according to Keenspot Entertainment Co-CEO Chris Crosby: “fits in with the space theme wonderfully”. Continue Reading

Comictastic Creator Announces Intended Changes to Program

In response to the recent controversy, Jan Van Tol, creator of the much debated Comictastic, (a comic viewing application) announced intended changes to the program in the Comictastic forums.

Jan says: “I want Comictastic to display your ads. I want you, the artist, to have some control over what Comictastic displays.”

Amongst the changes mentioned was the inclusion of a HTTP user agent string, which will (hopefully) allow the blocking of Comictastic for those who do not wish their comics to be viewed out of context. Support for ad-displaying and RSS feeds was also mentioned. Continue Reading
