The Diaz Codak
Aaron Diaz’s Dresden Codak is an inventive swirl of science and supposition. The writing is fantastic speculative fiction all on its own but it’s complemented by Diaz’s damn impressive artwork. ComixTalk had a review of the comic earlier this year, I caught up with the creator for an interview by email for this month’s issue.
FreakAngels, reviewed by Larry “El Santo” Cruz
In celebration of Steampunk Month here at ComixTalk, I’ve decided to take on the task of reviewing Warren Ellis’ FreakAngels. Be warned, though: if "steampunk" to you means stovepipe hats, pocket watches, and parasols, then you may be a little disoriented by the direction Mr. Ellis takes his comic.
But then again, beyond the cutesy wordplay on "cyberpunk," what’s steampunk, anyway?

JUSTIFY MY DEAD TREE HYPE
This looks cool – Mitch Clem is doing some comics for a print series:
I have about fifty more of these fully inked. It’s a new series I’ve been working on called "Something Great", which will be my first foray into creating a direct-to-print comic strip series (as opposed to a webcomic, which I already have too many of). Five per issue have been running in Razorcake, so you’ll see those too once new issues come out, as usual. Otherwise, patience is your best hope for ridiculousness.

Making Comics From Home Causes Trouble For Ramon Perez
Ramon Perez is facing eviction because of a zoning law in Toronoto that says he "must be operating a business on the premises and not residing within them."
Perez was told by his superindentant that he would not be evicted because he is a good tenant and always pays his rent, but that they were using this to evict bad tenants.
"[I] laughed and said i’m not going to take your word over a signed piece of paper. i sign that lease and i’m putting the noose around my neck and just waiting for the landlord to push!"
